Nutech Energy Systems is based in London, Ontario, Canada and manufactures two basic products for the residential, commercial, and light industrial markets under the brand name of Lifebreath. The first is a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) which brings fresh air into a building and exhausts stale air while exchanging up to 85% of the energy between the two air streams. In other words, an HRV provides clean fresh air to a building without losing cooling in the summer or heating in the winter.
The second product is a unique air filtration system called a Turbulent Flow Precipitator (TFP). This air cleaner uses a patented method to remove particles from your home smaller than 1 micron in size. The TFP does this without a high amperage blower and without the continuous maintenance required by other HEPA grade filters.
What is unique about a Lifebreath HRV?
1. Uses a plate type heat exchanger that is cleanable and requires less maintenance than the older wheel type.
2. Available in a version that passes latent energy (humidity) to the exhausted air for those humid Southern climates.
3. Multi-speed fans- The standard HRV has 5 speeds that can be controlled by multiple humidistats and gas detectors. Therefore, as the ventilation requirement increases the air flow increases. This feature is great for smoking environments like restaurants and lounges or homes with multiple bathrooms or kitchens.
Why is the TFP the best air cleaner you can buy?
1. Removes more than 90% of the particles smaller than 1 micron. These are the sizes that can really affect your health.
2. Low maintenance- The TFP has the same effectiveness from the day you install it for up to 18 months. Other filters don't work as well until they are a little dirty and then lose performance continuously after they reach a certain level of dirtiness. Most manufacturers require changing filters every 30 days.
3. Can be installed in a central heating and air conditioning system.
4. It really does work- You will notice the difference the day it starts to operate. The air will smell cleaner and feel fresher like it contains more oxygen even though the only difference is that the air contains less odor causing particles and other suspended materials that are attributed to allergies and breathing difficulties.
